I had an ear infection, jet lag, and a yearning desire to sleep on the first day of my trip to Florence, Italy in the summer of 2006. Instead of resting, the photographer in me decided to wander around the Arno River and the Ponte Vecchio where this picture was taken.
On a technical note, I took this picture with a basic, mid-sized camera (Panasonic FZ15). It goes to show that you don't need a fancy camera to snap nice shots.
