This 23 mile route of metal gates was on exhibition in Central Park, New York City from February 12th, 2005 to February 27th, 2005. Even though the weather was bitter and cold, people from across the world flocked to see this art installation by Christo and Jeanne-Claude. I love this February 19th, 2005 shot of 'The Gates' since there are no people in it - giving rise to a sense of serenity.
